Greetings, Families!

We are thrilled to be opening our in-person classes again in Miami Shores, Pinecrest, Weston and Fort Lauderdale this fall. But to make our programs a resounding success, we need your help!

We are actively looking for APEM parents or any other interested persons to volunteer with us. If you have expertise and time to share (5 to 20 hrs per month), in some of the skills listed below please contact us at info@petitsecoliersmiami.com with subject line “Volunteer”.

Fundraising coordinator

We are looking for candidates who have experience with fundraising and are committed to contribute to fund our program. 

You will work in close collaboration with our director to:

  1. Exchange to define the programs and events to fund

  2. Find contact information and build relationships with potential donors.

  3. Secure commitments of participation from individuals or corporate donors (cash or in-kind donations).

  4. Write and send thank you letters to donors.

  5. Create or update donor databases.


Digital marketing and media coordinator

Do you like Social Media, Marketing and Newsletters?

  1. This position will include creating content to post on our Social Media platforms

  2. Assist to write Newsletters articles

  3. Create / collect / edit pictures and videos

  4. Shape stories, reviews, spotlights for our website and blog.

  5. Design digital banners and flyers



Grant request writer

The Volunteer Grant Writer is responsible to:

  1. Identify and target available grants’ programs (foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations)

  2. Write grant proposals and persuasively communicate APEM's mission and programs to potential funders

  3. Work alongside the executive team to assemble and submit grant requests

  4. Maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines.


Community and event coordinator

Work with the Board, the direction, and other volunteers to organize events such as: 

  1. Workshops and community events

  2. Events with FLAM Federation

  3. Winter Holidays and / or end of year show

  4. 12th year anniversary celebration

  5. Book fair, beach party, bake sales


Business development coordinator

This volunteer will be the “eyes” on the ground” in each of our communities and help us to :

  1. Identify potential other families

  2. Set up information & communication campaigns

  3. Recruit new families


Parent volunteers or other volunteers will cooperate with APEM Executive Director, Administrative Team and Board Members. We depend on these volunteers to help us maintain and develop a quality program in our community.

  • There are many reasons to volunteer for APEM, but here are just a few:

  • The opportunity to expand the reach of a rich language and culture in your community

  • New friends and a network of other Francophile people near you

  • A way to give back to the APEM community

Preferred skills: 

  • Have strong initiative and think outside of the box with innovative ideas

  • Be self- motivated, organized

  • Average of 5 to 20 hours per month based on project timing

  • Remote work and meetings as needed
